Special thanks to the Great Wolf Lodge for their partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Our local Great Wolf Lodge partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Washington to allow our local kids access to not just the slide, but a good portion of the water park.
The slide-a-thon was an attempt to break ther world record for the most mile slide on a water slide (the old record of 878 miles was set in Germany). The record had been unofficially busted by 7pm Friday evening and there was still 14 hours left in the event.
As a photographer for Big Brothers Big Sisters, I was pleased to document the joy at which local kids approached this special free opportunity. A huge thank you goes out to the Ground Mound Great Wolf Lodge staff for their great hospitality and willingness to host the kids in our program. Over 400 of our local kids and their families attended the event.

And yes, I contributed to the world record and sampled much of the water park myself after the camera was loaded away after 11:00pm!
