While I strive to create unique photos, sometimes the original quality is not so much the subject matter, but the conditions under which the photo is composed. Here, one of the most photographed places in the world, is captured on a nearly picture-perfect Novemeber day which is highly unusual. When it comes to landscape photography, proximity is the first area of consideration, luck is the second!

While looking for early season blooms, my wife and I ran into a Bald Eagle overlooking the Cowlitz Valley in a snag. It provided me with perhaps the best photo of the day and night.

Indian Plum Decorates the Early Season Forest

 

The Indain Plum or Osoberry brings the drab winter life to the first blooms of the season. The dainty flowers will become berries that are much sought after by several species of birds.

Congradulations to the Rainier Lady Mountainieers

I went to the Southwest Washington 1A District Championship game looking to take photos of the Toledo girls with the championship trophy. Instead, Rainier High School won the game and the trophy and a collection of my photos ended up on their website.
